West Newton Cinema announces a special three-day celebration of Academy Award–winning actor Jack Lemmon, a Newton native whose career defined. Hollywood’s Golden Age, on the 100th anniversary of his birth. From October 24–26, 2025, audiences are invited to return to Lemmon’s hometown for a cinematic tribute featuring film screenings, a family conversation, and a community reception.

The celebration features honored guests from the Lemmon family, including Jack Lemmon’s children, Chris Lemmon and Courtney Lemmon, and his granddaughter. Sydney Lemmon. They will share personal reflections and stories during a special conversation with the audience, making the event both a cinematic tribute and a family homecoming.. “Jack Lemmon was one of America’s finest actors. He had a rare ability to make audiences laugh one moment and break their hearts the next,” said organizers at West Newton Cinema. “We are proud to honor his legacy right here, where his story began.”
