Join Newton at Home in celebrating the launch of Women of Courage and Conviction: The Untold Stories of Five Extraordinary Newton at Home Members, written by Newton resident Dorothy Anger.

In this inspiring new book, Dorothy brings to light the remarkable life stories of five Newton women who also happen to be members of Newton at Home. These women’s experiences span continents and eras: one walked from Newton to Washington, D.C. in a “Walk for Peace”; another grew up in Argentina during the Perón regime; two survived their childhoods as Jews under the Nazi regime; and the fifth became a global leader in women’s reproductive health and health systems management.

Come hear about the journeys of these courageous women, celebrate their resilience and achievements, and honor the power of storytelling to connect us across generations.
