Volunteer to attend and participate in Catholic Mass, bringing communion from the onsite Chapel to residents of the nursing home and patients in the short term rehab unit who wish to receive communion but are unable to attend Mass physically in the Chapel.
Additional Info
Requirements (if any) (examples: size of group needed, training, physical activity) : Practicing Catholic, willing to undergo volunteer training as Eucharistic Minister (provided). In good health due to close interaction with our frail nursing home population. Comfortable interacting with the elderly, primarily in wheelchairs. Able to walk from room to room interacting with residents/patients. We request ongoing commitment of at least 3 months prior to accepting as volunteer.
Scheduling Details (dates/times or flexible) : 11am Mass Sunday through Friday, volunteer coverage can be weekly or monthly, variable
