The Newton-Needham Regional Chamber launches new Shop Local directory and campaign to help local businesses during COVID-19
The Newton-Needham Regional Chamber invites all local businesses in Newton, Needham, Watertown and Wellesley, both members and non-members, to add itself to the directory by completing this form.
As part of the Chamber’s Shop Local directory, the Newton-Needham Regional Chamber has launched a social media campaign with the message “Take your stimulus to small business” #ShopLocalNN. A library of social media graphics and messaging supporting the campaign is available for download at the Shop Local website. All are encouraged to share the messaging along with stories of how they are supporting local with the #ShopLocalNN.
Over 50 small businesses have already signed on to the initiative including beloved locals like The Barn Family Shoe Store, Greentail Table, Tin Rabbit Decor and Mr. Sid.
“Our local merchants face daunting challenges but are also being extremely entrepreneurial, finding new ways to market and sell goods and services until they can reopen their doors,” said Newton-Needham Regional Chamber President Greg Reibman.
“Especially with Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and all those virtual graduations approaching, we wanted to create a platform to gather together many opportunities to shop locally in one place. We will keep adding to it as we hear from businesses.”
All Shop Local initiatives are supported by Rockland Trust, The Street Chestnut Hill, Hillman Homes and Lasell University.
