SharkNinja exec to deliver Needham Night keynote

Jon Greenawalt, chief culture officer at SharkNinja, the Needham-based maker of the popular Shark vacuums, Ninja blenders and other innovative household consumer products, will be the keynote speaker at the first annual Needham Night Dinner on Wed. Jan. 31 at the Needham Sheraton Hotel.

The dinner will also honor three local Needham businesses – Condon Realty, Segaloff's Jewelers and COOK restaurant – and celebrate the merger of the Needham Business Association with the Newton-Needham Regional Chamber.

“We envision Needham Night as an annual celebration of the town’s economic and cultural vitality and a chance to bring together the town’s business and civic leaders at the start of each new year,” said Chamber President Greg Reibman.

“On Jan. 31 we will also be celebrating new beginnings through the merger of the chamber and the NBA,” Reibman added. “We could not think of a better way to commemorate the occasion than by hearing from a company that’s also celebrating new beginnings in Needham: SharkNinja,” Reibman added.

SharkNinja moved into its 175,000-square-foot global headquarters in the N2 Innovation District last summer, putting its local 400-person workforce under one roof with plans to bring an additional 100 employees there over the next two years.

Greenawalt is an expert in enabling leaders and teams to change the way they think, lead and perform, with over 25 years of global, cross-industry experience and is accountable for the company’s talent attraction and integration, leadership and all HR outcomes and initiatives globally.

He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and his M.B.A. from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. Currently he is a member of the Board of Overseers for the University of Pennsylvania, President of the Class of 1991, and member of the Alumni Class Leadership Counci. He is also a three-time qualifier and finisher of the Boston Marathon which he counts as one of his life’s greatest experiences.

The first annual Needham Night Dinner, sponsored by Needham Bank, will be held Wed. Jan. 31, 5:30- 8 p.m. Needham Sheraton Hotel, 100 Cabot Street, Needham. Tickets are available at www.nnchamber.com or by calling 617-244-5300.
