On April 6, the Newton Innovation Center held its opening launch event at the Social Restaurant & Bar.

The NIC is a three-way collaboration between MassChallenge, the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), and the City of Newton. The NIC is a start-up friendly collaborative workspace with the mission to catalyze a global renaissance, starting on a local scale.

The center will support entrepreneurs of all types and ages, enabling them to deliver local and global impact, and empower the local community by providing access to the global entrepreneurial ecosystem. NIC mentors, programming, and youth internships will be designed to advance and accelerate innovation
