Needham Street Fair returns June 2
Needham Street Fair returns June 2
Make sure to stop by Needham Center Saturday, June 2 as the Needham Street Fair returns to a renovated Town Common.
Long organized by the Needham Business Association, the fair’s operation is now being coordinated by the Newton-Needham Regional Chamber, following the merger of the two business advocacy groups earlier this year.
Presented by Needham Bank, BID Needham Hospital and Briarwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, the fair will host merchant and food vendors, a KidsZone with hands on activities provided by State Rep. Denise Garlick, Touch the Trucks with the DPW, a photo booth provided by Brookline Bank, trolley rides provided by Condon Realty, and the ever-popular pony rides provided by Coldwell Banker. There’ll be caricaturists, balloon artists, face painting and back this year, the bouncy castle compliments of the Charles River YMCA.
Local merchants, businesses and nonprofits from across Needham will gather on the Town Common to build community awareness about their organizations, showcase their goods and services and reach out to new and old customers. Be sure to check out local artwork on display by the Needham Art Association, spruce up your garden at the Needham Garden Club’s plant sale, or immerse yourself in virtual reality at Empow Studios. BID - Needham will also be offering free screenings at their Great Plain Ave clinic throughout the day – just a stone’s throw from the main event on the common. Many of the exhibitors will offer free giveaways and special treats at their tables.
A food court will showcase numerous dining options, including Needham Center Fine Wines, The James, Masala Art, Hearth Pizzeria, Gari Fusion Bistro, Hills Home Market, and Abbott’s Frozen Custard. Plus, it wouldn’t be a street fair without popcorn! Visit Direct Federal Credit Union’s booth for fresh samples popping all day long.
Be sure to make your way over to the Town Hall steps, where we’ll have live entertainment throughout the day from Paulette’s Dance Studio, Plugged In Band, Hello Newman, Jam Sandwich, Needham Music & Dance, Charles River YMCA and a couple of surprise appearances.
Additional sponsors include Brookline Bank, Condon Realty, Dedham Savings Bank, Coldwell Banker, Direct Federal Credit Union, State Rep. Denise Garlick and Middlesex Savings Bank.
