Let’s Raise our Glasses

While we’re thrilled to be the fastest-growing chamber in the state, with nearly 400 new members in the last three years, we’re most proud of our industry-high retention rate and our decades-plus members.

To that end, I hope you join us on June 29, from 5:30-7 p.m. when we will thanking all of our members for their ongoing support at our Annual Members Appreciation evening, being held this year at the Needham Sheraton.

As has become our annual tradition, the evening will include a special recognition for our members with significant 2016 anniversaries.

This year, Legal Sea Foods has the distinction of being our longest-serving honoree with 40 years of chamber support. Joining shortly after the restaurant opened its Chestnut Hill location, Legal Sea Foods is one of our few restaurant members that has participated in every one of our Spring Seasonings: A Taste of Newton & Needham since its start in 1996, each year bringing their crowd-favorite New England clam chowder.

The Needham Sheraton Hotel, a 30-year member from the day the hotel opened, is not only our event host but an honoree as well. Well-positioned on the shared border of our two chamber communities, the Sheraton is a strategic venue for many of our largest chamber events. We were eager to return to their patio after last year’s sold-out Members Appreciation Night when they wowed us with their renovated space.

We’ll also be honoring members that are celebrating 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 year anniversaries on June 29. But we want to make sure our members know we value each and every individual, company and organization that chooses to support our efforts on behalf of the business community through their annual membership dues.

So yes, we’re excited to have recently reached the 700-member mark last month, and have room-bursting crowds at our networking events and sold-out marquee events, such as our two annual breakfasts and holiday party.

It’s your membership dues that make it all happen here at the chamber. Please know that we mean it when we say “we couldn’t have done it without you.”
