Ellie Fund selected as beneficiary of the chamber 2022 golf tournament
The Charles River Regional Chamber has chosen the Ellie Fund to be the nonprofit beneficiary of its 31st Annual Children’s Charitable Golf Tournament happening at Woodland Golf Club on Monday, Aug 1.
Each year, the chamber’s golf committee selects a different local nonprofit whose mission includes working with children and families to be the recipient of a portion of the tournament’s proceeds. This year’s selection of the Ellie Fund is notable due to its efforts to provide support services to breast cancer patients so that they can focus on family, recovery and healing.
The Needham-based nonprofit provides essential support services to women and men who have recently been diagnosed or are managing their treatment of breast cancer, and their families.
“Ellie Fund is so honored to be selected by the Charles River Regional Chamber to represent families in need where we live and work,” said Meredith Mendelson, executive director of The Ellie Fund.
“Since our founding in 1995, the Ellie Fund has become the leading service provider in this region supporting more than 10,000 families who face a breast cancer diagnosis. We thank and celebrate the chamber, families, businesses, and schools of this community who have been endlessly supportive of our mission and work.”
The Village Bank is once again returning as a multi-year presenting sponsor of the chamber’s tournament.
Returning as sponsors are Mass General Brigham Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Direct Federal Credit Union. North Hill has also jumped on board as a sponsor of this year’s tournament. The Bulfinch Group has returned as the putting contest sponsor and One Wingate Way is our Snack Hut sponsor.
The 31st Annual Children’s Charitable Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, August 1 at Woodland Golf Club, 1897 Washington Street, Auburndale. The registration fee includes all green fees and cart, lunch, use of practice facilities, prizes for top teams and a gift for each player. Click here to register.
