An apology
An apology
I messed up in Tuesday’s edition of the chamber newsletter.
I tried to call out the fear-based tactics of the committee supporting Needham’s housing repeal vote. However, my wording was poor and came across as disparaging to all "no" supporters
That’s 100% on me.
I never believed that the “yes” or “no” voters of the referendum in Needham were aligned with any one political ideology. The choices voters made were multi-dimensional.
On the other hand, my description was misaligned with who I am and the chamber’s mission of fostering inclusivity and respect for diverse perspectives.
Our chamber is committed to working collaboratively and positively on the critical economic and cultural issues of our time.
I apologize to the people in Needham, our members, directors, and the community at large.
