Volunteer Remotely with MassBay and Make a Difference!

Announcement

What if I told you 1-2 hours of your time during the week of February 5-12 could change someone’s life forever?

Every semester, MassBay Community College receives over 300 student applications for grants that provide essential support to those who are facing food insecurity and transportation challenges. These funds enable students to purchase fresh groceries and necessities, and commute to campus—basic needs that help them stay in school, and achieve their academic skills and credentials that lead to sustainable careers.

We often say many MassBay students are a flat tire away from having to drop out of school. And you may be surprised with how many of our students face food insecurity every day.

MassBay Community College is seeking volunteers to spend just 1–2 hours remotely reviewing student applications for food and transportation assistance. The review period runs from February 5–12. As a volunteer, you’ll review 25–30 applications, ensuring each one receives the thoughtful attention it deserves.

If you can help, please email sjohnson3@massbay.edu by January 28. This small amount of your time can truly make a big difference in a student’s journey to success!
