Direct Federal is a federally insured credit union located in Needham, Massachusetts. Starting as a local lender in 1953, Direct has served several hundreds of thousands of satisfied members over the years – and in doing so, has earned a reputation as being one of the most dependable places in which to do business. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or goes to school in Norfolk or Middlesex County; or, has an immediate family member that lives, works, worships, or goes to school in Norfolk or Middlesex County is eligible to join. Direct Federal is a not-for-profit, meaning that earnings are invested right back into the credit union. And that means Direct Federal can offer its members lower loan rates and higher deposit rates that they simply won't see anywhere else.
