Regional Real Estate Forum
Wednesday, December 11, 2024 (8:45 AM - 11:30 AM) (EST)
Description
Our annual Regional Real Estate Forum is back, looking this year at competitiveness and the steps our chamber communities should take to enhance economic vitality.
Doug Howgate, president of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation will discuss the foundation's newly released Massachusetts Competitiveness Index which analyzes and compares Massachusetts to the rest of the nation and key competitor states across 26 metrics.
Following Howgate’s presentation, we’ll ask a group of young professionals to discuss their challenges finding housing in the region and what they feel our cities and towns need to do to become more competitive and welcoming to future generations.
Finally, we’ll ask the planning directors representing our four chamber communities to discuss ways we can work together to enhance our region’s competitiveness.
Planning director panelists:
- Eric Arbeene (Wellesley)
- Barney Heath (Newton)
- Steve Magoon (Watertown)
- Lee Newman (Needham)
