Fall Real Estate Forum: Our housing crisis
Tuesday, September 12, 2023 (8:15 AM - 11:00 AM) (EDT)
Description
This year’s annual real estate forum will take a deep dive into the housing crisis in our west suburban communities, including the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Our keynote speaker, Lee Pelton, President & CEO of the Boston Foundation, will share his perspective and the latest research and demographic trends, including through an equity lens.
We’ll also hear from Chris Kluchman, Acting Director, Community Services Division, Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities who has been a key player in the implementation of the MBTA Communities Law, first under Gov. Charlie Baker and now for the Healey administration.
Kluchman will provide an overview of the MBTA Communities and how it applies to our chamber communities.
We’ll follow both presentations with a panel discussion exploring the impediments to growing our housing supply and asking what we can do to make our communities more welcoming.
Our panelists:
- Andrew Copelotti, principal, Boylston Properties
- Melony Swasey, global real estate advisor, Unlimited Sotheby's International Realty n
- Darryl Settles, president, Catalyst Ventures Dev.
