Description

The Harmony Foundation invites you to the 52nd annual community breakfast!
Doors open at 7:00 a.m.
Program begins at 7:30 a.m.
Join Mayor Marc Laredo, the Harmony Foundation, the Newton Interfaith Leadership Association, and other event partners for the 52nd annual Newton Mayor’s Community Breakfast. It will again be held under the big tent facing Shaw Hall on the UMass Amherst Charles River Campus.
The program will feature the presentation of the Rotary Club of Newton Anthony J. Bibbo Scholarship Awards to graduating seniors from Newton North and Newton South High Schools, and the Mayor Mann Community Service Awards honoring outstanding community service.
The theme of this year’s event is “Newton 250: Reimagining Community, Together”. In the spirit of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Historic Newton is preparing some “fun facts and some serious facts” about Newton from 1776 through its historical path to our present city, to be presented in slide show and print form at the Breakfast.
The Harmony Foundation (www.harmony-newton.org) is the organizer of the event and appreciates the support of the Charles River Regional Chamber in facilitating ticket and table sales. Registrants will receive, via e-mail, a confirmation as your “ticket of admission”. Multiple seats may be purchased under one name if your attendees are not set. As the ticket sales cover only about half of the event’s cost, added donations to the Harmony Foundation can be made and are deeply appreciated.
A digital program will be distributed to known registrants a few days before the event, and printed programs will also be available at the event. For more information, contact harmonyfoundationnewton@gmail.com.
