Kick off Earth Week by getting outdoors and giving back to our local community! We're rallying a crew to join the Charles River Watershed Association for their 28th Annual Charles River Cleanup. This year, we'll be returning near Community Rowing Inc. and Daly Field to tackle trash pickup and trail maintenance along one of our favorite stretches of the river. The cleanup runs Friday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Gloves, bags, and all supplies will be provided — plus lunch afterward to celebrate a job well done! Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
The Earth Day Charles River Cleanup builds on a national effort as part of American Rivers’ National River Cleanup®, which has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways. Organized by the Charles River Watershed Association, the cleanup brings together over 3,000 volunteers each year to pick up litter, remove invasive species, and assist with park maintenance along all 80 miles of the Charles River.
