Liz Tavares is an attorney and spent the early part of her career as a Chief Administrator for the Trial Court, overseeing a budget of $118 million. She uses her wide-ranging experience in commercial real estate, law, project management, and mediation to guide and negotiate the best transactions for her commercial real estate clients. Liz is intimately familiar with the Greater Boston area, specifically the North and MetroWest areas, and she has deep relationships with attorneys, lenders, and community officials.

Education: Liz holds a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law, an M.A. in Education from Boston University, and a B.S. in Human Resources from Fitchburg State University.

Community and Personal: A Dorchester native, Liz resides in Newton and routinely volunteers in activities that promote education and strong families.

Family Access Center in Newton, where she coordinated grant initiatives and taught students to strategize in reducing their vulnerability to verbal, physical, and sexual assault and violence by serving as an instructor for the Child Assaultive Prevention Program (CAP)

Newton Free Public Library, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL)

Led the Operation Boldpaint project out of Newton North through the Newton Serves initiative; also served on the Newton North Student Faculty Advisory Committee
