Chestnut Hill Square has partnered with Newton’s New Art Center to display The Block, created by Liz Helfer. This unique art exhibit is a combination of windshield glass, plexiglass, and steel. Liz Helfer creates sculptures out of her studio in Waltham, MA. Steeped in metalwork, her recent work emphasizes sustainable sculpture practices, using recycled and upcycled materials. The New Art Center (NewArtCenter.org) in Newton is a non-profit community art education space that offers everyone, at all levels of ability, exceptional opportunities to make, exhibit, view, think about, and talk about art.
